Gophers fall short in Tourny

The Gophers played Texas on thursday in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The Gophers put up a good fight but fell short. In the beginning the Gophers had the momentum, they took a ten point led just a couple minutes into the game but then the momentum started to switch sides. Texas started to come back and took the led then it was the Gophers trying to catch up. The Gophers were only down four at half after Texas made a 3 at the end of the first half. In the second half the momentum stayed with Texas. AJ Abrams was the star in the second half, he had a run of six 3's in a row. He ended the game one 3 shy of his record. Abrams made eight 3's in the game and led Texas with 26 points. The Gophers never really had a chance to get anything going and Texas won the game 76 to 62
