Cavs knocked out of playoffs

On Saturday night the Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the Orlando Magic. It was the sixth game of the seven game series and that's all Orlando needed. The Cavs were suppose to win this series but no one can predict who will win as this series showed. The Cavs hadn't lost a game in the playoffs until game one of this series and then it seemed like everything change for them. The Cavs won the 2nd game of the series but then Orlando took over and and the Cavs struggled. Now the Magic take on the LA Lakers in the NBA Finals.

Line-up change sparks Twins bats

On Thursday the Twins change their batting line-up and ended their six game losing streak. They did a lot more than just end their streak also, they beat the Chicago White Sox 20 to 1. During their six game losing streak they only scored 22 runs and then on the final day of their road trip they changed the line-up and scored 20 runs. After the blow out they kept the line-up change and beat the Brewers 11 to 3 and Micheal Cuddyer hit for the cycle. It seems like the line-up change has worked and the Twins will keep the change as they go for the sweep of the Brewers Tonight.

Twins make comback for the sweep

Today the Twins played the Detroit Tigers in the final game of a 3-game series. It looked like the Twins would fall short of the sweep but then came the 7th inning. Through the first 6 and a third the Twins hadn't scored and struck out 13 times. The Twins were down 5 to 0 going into the the 7th inning and Verlander was taken out and the Twins took advantage. They scored 6 runs in the inning and took the lead 6 to 5. With the comback the Twins won all three of the games against the Tigers. Now the Twins travel to New York to take on the Yankees in the new Yankee Stadium.

Twins bats come alive at home

The Twins started a six game homestand on friday and since then the Twins are frenzy hitting. In friday nights game the Twins scored 11 runs on 13 hits, a big help in the game was having Scott Baker throw seven shutout innings and the bullpen picked up where he left off and didn't let a run score. Then on Saturday night the hits started again. The Twins were out hit in the game 8 to 10 but that didn't stop them from winning the game. With just the 8 hits they were able to score 9 runs and won 9 to 6. On the roadtrip before the homestand the Twins only scored 12 runs in four games but now in just two games the Twins have scored 20 runs. Now they go for the sweep of Seattle today at 1 pm.

Mauer has big impact in return

Friday night Joe Mauer came back from missing all of april with a hip injury. Mauer came up for his first at bat of the year and with his first swing Mauer hit a homerun. With the homerun the Twins went up one to zero. Later in the game Mauer got a double and scored, when the game was over Mauer went 2 for 3 with a walk and scored 3 runs. After Mauer got his walk in the 5th inning Justin Morneau hit a 2 run homerun and put the Twins up 7 to 5 which was the final score.
